This past month I decided to push myself and do a girl, which honestly, I've never been that good at doing.  Not sure why, but always intimidated and find myself in fail mode, more so than success.  But this time, I pushed through, wanting to focus on core details, learn some new techniques to build and see what I can come up with.  I have to admit, the final piece i'm very happy with, better than expected really.  

 

the process was simple, I started with a rough sketch and used that as a base to start vectoring.  I just use a mouse and pen tool, so no wacom or another means, mostly because I enjoy using the pen tool to get exactly what I want, rather than having to limit my results with a brush.  From there I built and detailed and tried to sort out balance.  nothing over the top by any means, but just took some time to flesh out.  Over all, from start to finish, this piece took about 6 hours.
