Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre - Velenice

God's tomb at Velenice near the Ceska Lipa city among the interesting religious monuments Liberec Region. It is a cave artificially carved into the sandstone cliffs.

Inside the "Rosary" chapel can be seen reliefs of Christ's suffering from the early 18th century (cave hewn local landlord and folk artist Schille in the years 1710-1711), another sculpture (relief Crucifixion) from a later period (early 19th century) can be seen as outside rocks. Residues outdoor reliefs suggest that the decoration was based on the cycle of Mysteries of the Rosary, survived with only minor part. It is likely that the chapel was originally replaced the church, which was built in the village until 1735. It consists of three rocky area.

As a historical relic, the chapel was digitized by 3D methods. You can see final views on the model in hight detail. The entire relic is carved into the sandstone, thus subject to the natural destruction. It was one of the many reasons why was a relic digitized and archived so at least virtually.
