Pantona Hanger
For this project I was asked to design a coat hanger. The object is made up of a single plate which curves towards a direction around a diameter; the top section looks the same as the bottom except with smaller dimensions and an opposite orientation. The hanger finds its definitive shape through a mould (180 cm high), and the main joint is found at 3/4 of its hight. The projects presents itself with a simple appearance which proposes a cylindrical hanger formed from the remains derived from the puncture of the plate, positioned at a hight of 185 cm.Ā The objects presents a maximum encumbrance of 40 cm2. The product is built in fibreglass, in order to reduce its weight, to ensure its stability, and for an easier industrial production. Its shape derives from Verner Panton āSā Chair.
