Denny's – Manhattan Directional Signage

Denny's Manhattan Directional Signage
The grand opening of the first Denny's restaurant ever to open in Manhattan called for directional signage. The signs were a combination of phone kiosks, subway ramp and platform posters. These were placed with a 1-3 block radius, designed to drive foot traffic from local businesses and colleges to the new location.

Below are the final posters, along with a couple of earlier concepts. The idea was to take familiar, everyday Manhattan scenes and give them a subtle diner food spin.
Above – the final Phone Kiosk posters by Creative Director, Stephen Brown. I designed the original comp posters, and Stephen tightened everything up, adding the finishing touches and beautifully illustrated nuances.
