This is a my chacater from Halo 4.  So, what I did, is took an image of stock art, which is the concept art for all chacater designs and used for the 3D designers to use.  I drew it in Illustrator.

In this drawing I did, it is a guy from a game called Skyrim, pulling out a sword called dawnbreaker and making it cast this ray of colors.  I used Illustrater to create this image.  The tools I used were the pen for the basic drawing.  The color wheel that is being cast, I used a feather to give the blurry edge look; and, a radiant to emphanzie the blurry edges that connects each edge.
