Kochi Muziris Biennale attracted us and got us involved in it as it seeks to invoke the historic cosmopolitan legacy of the modern metropolis of Kochi, and its mythical predecessor, the ancient port of Muziris. We found the venue of the exhibitions more interactive because of its architecture and the native people.
Our concept is an experimental video that shows the connection and disconnection of the space (Biennale exhibition venues) with respect to artwork, artist, people, place (Kochi), history of the place and all those helping hands who are unseen once the exhibition is put up. The video is put together in split frame format to give different feel of same action and also to help in the narration of actions happening.
The buildings of the venues are of Dutch architecture which uses big bricks. This aspect of the architecture is also brought up with the help of this format.
