The Brief:
- Create a new visual language for film advertising. One that relies on and relishes words rather than falling back on the usual photographic imagery.
- Choose a director and use the power of type to promote a retrospective screening of their films.
- For film fans of any age
I chose:
- David Liman as my director and the three films are:
- Mr & Mrs Smith
- The Bourne Identity
- Jumper
- To create a rather minimalistic poster - simple type - simple colours - in keeping with the film style.
I've created:
- A poster for each film - displayed at the event, around London city (screening will be a Leicster Square)
- A ticket for the screening
- Web banners for displaying on websites such as IMDB - simple banners, very little information - need to click to be taken to the website that would give information on getting tickets for the screening.
