Liquid Bar - 1st creative advertising brief

The Brief:

- Create an awareness of offerings
- Interact with students (18 - 25 yo) and locals (35 - 60 yo)
- Liquid Bar is designed for pre drinking and has different types of music on various nights of the week
 
My observations:

- Facebook page isn’t very visual and there are very little likes and comments on status recently
- No  drinks and offerings menu
- Not many pictures of people enjoying the bar
- Not many Facebook events lately – events act as a reminder to students to come to the bar
- Twitter seems to be updated more than Facebook
 
What I propose:
 
- Facebook page needs to become more interactive
      > Posters & Promotions
      > Drink offers
      > Special events & celebrations
      > Drinks Menu

– Events
      > Special and regular events i.e. karaoke could have an events page
      > Invite followers to the events and it serves as a reminder
      > Post offers on Freshers and University Facebook pages to remind students and get them involved
 
- Hire a student to photograph students in the Bar
      >Offer a key ring buying service
      >Post pictures to Facebook
               - People can tag themselves and friends
               - Promotes the bar as the page will be shared when people are tagged
 
- Brief says Liquid Bar was established in 2004.
      > No sign of a celebration of the 10 year milestone
      > I suggest a special 10th Birthday celebration
               – Guest DJ’s
               – Cheap Drinks offers
               – Free cake (students love free food)
               – Drinking games (as it’s a pre drinking bar)
               – Bar decorated with Balloons and streamers – party atmosphere.
 
+ To accompany the 10th birthday celebration I’ve created samples of drink offer cards that can be distributed to students
              – Left in the student hub and bar
              – Halls of residence
              – Given out in the bar 
              – Left on train seats
              – Local hairdressers etc.

+ Students love offers – receiving a whole deck of them will entice them in and make them spend - the drink offer cards also run with theme of Liquid Bar being a pre drinks bar.

As mentioned previously - special events are always popular with students - this is a sample poster for a halloween event that makes students aware that Liquid Bar are hosting an event and that they have plenty of drinks offers available.
