YEAR 2, Unit 3 – Off Grid
Project 2 Task:
As global warming transforms our planet, desert-like living environments are becoming the norm for a vast proportion of the world’s population; others decide to re-settle out of choice. Inhabiting this environment brings about very specific challenges. Where to grow food? How to obtain drinking water? What energy to use? Transporting bare essentials across long distances creates undesirable dependencies. Relying on imported supplies at a time of dwindling resources is at best a risky, at worst a life threatening strategy.
