Bassment - Poster
Bassment was a Drum & Bass event organised by a good friend Derren, who runs Copious Beats. They organise a bunch of parties with some DJ's who are great friends. They are always fun, and this was the second time they had asked me to design their poster. The brief was to keep in line of traditional comic book art - and being a massive comics fan - I loved the challenge. Here is the design, and a little peak behind the scenes.
The key artwork. This contained a 'superman' like figure, who really is kind of a DJ, The logo on his chest is now the official logo of Copious Beats as well. This was also meant to work sort of a vinyl cover art.
The final poster, with all the DJ's perfoming and some of the music styles played that night. I thought it would be fun to add the price at the bottom right corner inspired from the position of logos in the same position in classic Marvel and DC comic book covers.
Of course, events such as this needs to be promoted on Facebook. This was an adaptation of the poster to fit into the Facebook events page header.

Hope you liked this project. This was a project I really had fun with, and surprisingly something that I didn't do for money. Of course, there are bits I wish i could've done differently, but satisfied with the final outcome. Let me know what you think!
