Craigslist "Pac-Man" listing & story

This was a creative writing exercise, using Craigslist as a medium to catch readers off guard.

Background
As I was listing my Pac-Man machine for sale on Craigslist, I suddenly realized why I had so much trouble parting with this 300lb piece of outdated technology crowding my apartment. I wasn't attached to the object: I was attached to the story behind it. What followed was an emotional piece of writing that saw its own viral jog around the internet, connecting with readers who reached out to me from Missouri to Sweden. It popped up on several geek-centric and gaming-related sites, the Best of Craigslist page and popular gaming forums, but I was happier that it connected with audiences using a completely unexpected platform for creative expression. It's essentially a modern, longform take on Hemingway's "For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn," now that I think back on it.

Here is some of the feedback I received.
