‘Tis the season to break the silence: The idea of the website is that users can piece together a fragmented confession sent to them through the sites’s interface.
Visually and conceptually we aimed at creating an application that would be fun to explore but at the same time keeping layout and functionalities lean - so that you can sent your own message with just a few clicks.

 

Rebuilding every available character in Photoshop - and then slicing them into different pictures - made a total of around 500 images that need to be display for a messages send through the site. We spent some extra time for the compression of those images and use different images for different devices. For messages with a max of 60 character, our site moves 350 DOM elements simultaneously - relative to the mouse/device tilting. We had to do special performance optimizations to parallax.js and our own code to guarantee stable performance - especially for iOS-devices.
