It’s a horrible cliché, that phrase; overdone and trite
but anyone who creates anything, will immediately know I’m right
And while there are indeed those days when a single-take is all you need
that certainly isn’t every day; certainly not guaranteed
For this is me, for real, in-progress, a session of elated creation
live, raw, unhinged, unglued, never lacking in expletive enunciation
You're watching in sequence, my bold attempts to forge ahead in spirit
a change of song, a change of mood, all in vain...you can hear it
Because ultimately, we’ve all been there, perhaps with different interpretation
and if you feel the connection is real, don’t hold back your appreciation

As Day Two loomed, I set about, refusing to be defeated
