After sketching the illustration on a printing paper, we use a light tracer to draw it on a good paper. We use a 8B graphite pencil and, for the paper, Canson C à grain 224g. The shadows and lights are defined during that step.
Then the last step of the making of Quiet Evening: watercolors!!! A simple contrast between a yellow tint for the inside and a blue tint for the outside creates a warm atmosphere.
