Neon City for High Roller Wheel at Linq

How do you entertain visitors waiting in line to board the world's largest observation wheel? You go BIG.

The Hettema Group asked me to create a 3-minute music video to entertain visitors to the High Roller Wheel that was then under construction at the new Linq shopping and entertainment plaza in Las Vegas. In the center of the queue room are six state-of-the-art projectors, set up to project a 270° image around the walls. The end result is spectacular - a feeling of true immersion into the imaginary 3D world I created.

The full resolution of this piece is nearly 10k by 2k - it required a customized production pipeline in which five viewports in Cinema4D with matching HD comps in After Effects were stitched together with multiple vanishing points to create one panoramic seamless window into the Neon City. I designed, modeled, animated, rendered, and composited this piece as a solo project, with a little help in modeling some of the buildings from Justin Coury. The music was composed by R/D.

The finished piece is now playing at the High Roller Wheel in Las Vegas at the new Linq Plaza. There are 5 other artists' works on one endless loop, so you'll have to wait a few minutes, but it's well worth it to see it in person for the full experience.
