My friend Dayton Gray and I founded a company called Scapegoat Studios in Louisiana. At first we were just trying to make comics but to pay for our endeavor we booked a show to help pay for the cost. We talked to some of Dayton's old contacts from his Lead Guitarist days and got some bands to literally volunteer (they didn't get paid). Well, over 500 people came. We decided that maybe we were stronger at booking shows and advertising them. So that's what we did. We got a few regular sponsors to help us afford each show and went to work.
