INTRODUCTION

In the summer of 2014 I got involved in another small and fun project with a group of 3 young and talented students who developed and produced a fully functional prototype of a machine that automatically detects dents and damages on the car's body. It uses 3 XBOX Kinects to scan the car and then searches for abnormalities such as dents, bumps, bruises. If you want to read more about DamScan you can do so here.

VFX - 2D, 3D animations, UI design

My task was to present the prototype and the technology within max 4 shots. I wanted to create longer, continuous and more complex looking shots using zoom-ins and seamless transitions between different screens. I was also directing the shots I was going to work on later. While shooting on site I got an idea how to present the product through the eyes of xbox kinetic. I also wanted to create a clean transition between the scanning of the car to the the software that utilizes the scanned data and displays it to the car insurance agent. From shooting till the end product it took me in total 3 days.
