Behind the concept

My career in the design & development field started a few months after I devoured the vintage tv show The Prisoner.
At the time I was fascinated (and still I am) by its atmosphere, that is often defined "lysergic". In a mix of mysteries, drugs, hallucinogenic scenes and improbable technology proposed by this cult of the sixties I found something inspiring and I also felt in love with the meaning of the adjective referred to it (lysergic).

Since then I signed all my works with the nom de plume lysergic or with the acronym LSD (Lysergic Studio Design) but sometimes I needed to sign with my name and a logo, so I picked up a vintage cycle illustration, just because I really love those cycles, and started to use it thinking that I would changed it as soon as I'd had time. "So why am I seeing a vintage cycle?" you may ask. Well, because after a while since the story above, I found myself talking about this very same tv show and linked the wikipedia page to a friend of mine and guess what: I found the same cycle representing it! It was a sign, a loop that finally was closed: this should be my official distinctive sign and I had to redesign and make it my own.

Stamp

After I designed this logo I thought it would be awesome to turn it into my very own stamp. A great artisan carved it for me and I was so satisfied that I started using it almost anywhere. I chosen not to print my new business cards on the front, so I can manually print them with this awesome stamp :)
