With the occasion of the celebration of Human Rights Day, this contest was aimed at young mexican from Mexico City, to present graphic design concepts that would be placed in 20 Public Transport Service buses. The theme: Respect and non-discrimination in Public Transport.
Con el motivo del la celebración del día de los Derechos Humanos, este concurso tuvo como propósito convocar a jóvenes mexicanos de la Ciudad de México, para presentar propuestas gráficas que se colocarían en 20 autobuses del Servicio Público de Transportación de Pasajeros (RTP). El tema: El respeto y la no discriminación en el transporte público.
The designs made by young mexicans about integration and respect to human rights will circulate throughout Mexico City.

Los gráficos que diseñé, tienen como propósito, en un sentido amplio, mostrar la diversidad de los pasajeros y el deseo de una coexistencia armoniosa, hombro a hombro.
The colors I chose have a high degree of saturation because for me, it was important to highlight the graphics, knowing that they would be placed on a moving object that would cross the crowded and constantly gray-colored Mexico City. I wanted people to come out from self-absorption while they were waiting for the bus or driving in traffic, and turn around to see the bus and ask themselves what they had just seen .
Los colores que elegí tienen un alto grado de saturación, porque para mí, era importante resaltar los gráficos, sabiendo que se colocarían en un objeto móvil que atravesaría la congestionada y constantemente gris Ciudad de México. Quería que la gente saliera de su ensimismamiento mientras esperaban el autobús o manejan en el tránsito, y voltearan sus cabezas para mirar el autobús y que se preguntaran qué era aquello que habían visto.
I loved seeing the design of the tther 19 young and mine on the buses. I also think that this contest is a great way to show not only the design but the hope of young mexicans to have a lot more inclusive society .
Me encantó ver el diseño de los otros 19 jóvenes y el mío ya colocados en los camiones, además, me parece que este concurso es una forma excelente de mostrar no solamente el diseño, sino también la esperanza de jóvenes mexicanos de tener una sociedad mucho más incluyente.
And yes, of course, fitness maniacs can use Public Transport Service too. :D
