One of my favorite Disney movies is Disney's Bambi. I explored some ideas in After Effects when creating this remake of Disney's Bambi title sequence. Keeping the original audio, Love is a Song by Mormon Tabernacle Choir, clearly takes you back to the original movie. My focus was the typography and the way it presents itself. I played around with heirarchy with size, and seconds shown on screen. I was inspired by the meadow scene - where Bambi is shown the meadow for the first time and his mother needs to check it out first to make sure it is safe. So when the job titles are presented its slow and sweeps across the page as Bambi's Mother did in the beginning of the meadow scene. I also was aware of when the text was presented in relation to the audio. I chose a grey background to let the type and the animation speak for itself. I tried with illustrations and images in the background but it was too distracting. I am pleased with the end product, and I hope you enjoy it too! Comments welcome!
