Tamarind Candy Packaging

Our task for this project was to find a poorly designed packaging of regional Filipino food products or "pasalubong" and apply the lessons we have learned and acquired to re-design it and make it look appealing and eye-catching. I have chosen the tamarind candy because I like this food so much and when I saw it in the supermarket stands, it was the perfect fit for this project. It was packed in cellophane enclosed by a staple wire. Its branding was just printed on a very thin sheet of paper and the text was already faded. My work started from there.
Developments
Final Design and Layout
Final Output on Stand Up Pouch
The output of this project can be very essential as it can boost sales of our local products and in this case, tamarind candies. Even though the taste can make up for the poorly designed packaging, we should still improve them to further enhance the quality of Filipino food products.
