Modernism was the rebellion of traditional design styles. It influenced everything from architecture to music and has formed the design styles that we see in 2014. Modernists of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s led the way to ‘this’ contemporary future.
Brief
Design the dust jacket and insert pages for ‘Modernism: designing a new world’. The book will be displayed at the Modernism art exhibition to be held at GOMA. Develop a poster from the book cover design to advertise the event. Portray the unique art style in a way that is true and relevant to the era.
Concept: Bright Minds
The design celebrates modernism and its huge impact on history. Shapes and lines form a sense of direction that portrays the way that the modernism movement completely changed the initial ‘traditional' style.
