Renaldo Khuler exhibit
A temporary exhibit to display the work of a talented scientific illustrator.
Scientific illustrator, Renaldo Khuler was employed by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences for decades. His professional work is detailed, accurate, and beautiful. When film maker, Brett Ingram discovered Khuler's creative personal work, he thought it documentary worthy. When Ingram's film, Rocaterrania showed at the Museum, visitors, film fanatics and Ingram and Khuler themselves attended. As exhibit designer at the Museum, I was tasked with designing an exhibit to introduce the crowds to Khuler's professional life and personal work. My challenge was to capture the incredible detail of these illustrations, and the powerful message of both Rocaterrania and Khuler's life.
