A chapeau, a cap, a tip of the hat, a fabric secured with a band or wrapped and tucked covering the top and hiding hair or not, announcing style, attitude, our team or religion, keeping the rain off, the sweat in, protecting us from bad hair days or no hair days or too much sun days, tipped slightly for respect, taken off inside for manners or put on inside for reverence, humility, tradition, worn with pride or merely to hide beneath a brim, pulled low, but always chosen with care because it tops us off and gives us that look.
