Diya Dance Installation

NID Diya Dance Installation
The idea behind this interactive installation is to recreate the flavour of the well known 'Diya' (lamp) dance seen during Navarati festival in the National Institute of Design campus, Ahmedabad. This dance is a form of ‘Garba’ performed around a centrally lit lamp or a statue of a god. The dancers circle around holding diyas and create patterns of light.

How do you interact with this installation?
Enter the dark dance space with diyas. With the rhythm of Gujrati folk songs playing in the background, move your hands and dance in the space in a way to create patterns on the walls.
Diya dance installation that explores dance with light and sound.
