Creative Commons (redesign concept)

This redesign concept was a self-initiated project by the 24thCollective, directed and designed by Udara Jayawardena. Creative Commons Licenses are something almost every internet user has come aross; either on the footer of a website, video, art or more commonly on downloaded resources or content. So we decided to give it an all-round redesign focusing on keeping a modern and minimal outlook while displaying any necessary information (which was quite a lot, given the nature of the website).
 
Note that this redesign was not requested/commissioned nor endorsed by Creative Commons (www.creativecommons.org). 
We started at the header, which needed to display a subscribe and donate section along with the usual navigation and logos. 
 
One of the most important features of the website is the license creation tool, therefore we decided to include it on the homepage. Clicking the Choose a Licence button causes the preloaded license creator to drop-down onto the page over the header. 
 
Below is the complete re-design of the homepage.
To prove that this new design can be adapted to any page on the site, below is a re-design of the donation page.
