The first two recordings show the difference between a single mic and two mics. An XY positioned Microphones allow for the listener to feel surrounded by sounds, when panned left and right, while the single mic creates a feeling that the sound is coming from one isolated direction. 

This is also a personal music composistion I created myself. 

The last two recordings show the difference betwen horizontal and vertical spacing. The horizontal captures the brighter and darker tones while the vertical captures the high and low frequencies.
