5 Days of paradise
A narrative print design classroom project


                       5 days of paradise was a print design semester project. The print was 
developed during a course of 3 weeks where the basics of printing was introduced and a final surface was to be developed at the end of the course.

 The inspiration for the print project was derived from the city i belong to _ KOLKATA during its peak of festivities. At a time when the city is covered with vibrant colors and adventurous souls. Deriving elements that define Kolkata during festivities an attempt was made to capture the essence of the city at its epitome of beauty during Durgotsav. .

Through a melange of different elements that relate to the city, a narrative print was created which relates to fun, festive and flamboyant.

Inspiration for color treatment was derived from huichol art : a mexican artform.
