Aprons, Etc. - The Idea Book

The Idea Book
Aprons, Etc 2011 Catalog
The Image Forge has transformed the Aprons Etc 2011 catalog into a Promotional Idea Book. By redesigning the book, The Image Forge transformed a traditional product catalog into a marketing tool that stimulates the development of ideas and suggests ways that the products can be used. Since the printed piece is used by both end consumers and distributors, the design had to fit the needs of both groups.

Scott Thackston, Aprons Etc Executive Vice-President said, “The Idea Book is a radical approach for us and our industry. The Image Forge has produced more than a catalog, they’ve designed a marketing piece that works at all levels of our business. We’ve always seen good results with them, but this piece is simply outstanding. We look forward to giving it to our customers.

The catalog design incorporates  lifestyle segments suggesting areas where products would fit for promotional, event and marketing use. Combining new photography, creative Photoshop® compositing and existing photography gave the catalog and the products a fresh, new look while still respecting a budget. The design incorporates better visual indexing, includes the use of QR Code technology for quick online access and shows the products in a larger format than any previous Aprons Etc. catalog.

The design of the catalog has also been applied to areas of the Aprons Etc website. The Image Forge founder, Martin Miller says, “It is very important to maintain a consistent image across all avenues of communication. By carrying the Idea Book visuals to the layout of the Aprons Etc website, we’re reinforcing the message everywhere it might be seen.
