Cea - Female Hip Hop Singer
Highlights:
I learned the process of recording female vocals against a backing hip-hop track. As my first self-facilitated recording session, I became familiar with how to conduct myself as an engineer, but also in an environment where an artist's manager is present to mediate the session.
Areas to Improve:
Remaining organized, focused, and efficient when an artist books a short amount of time for a lot of material.
Pilot - 2 Piece Acoustic/Pop Group with Male Vocals
Hightlights:
Creatively rebounding to artist's defective equipment and experimenting with different methods of mic placement to achieve the highest quality signal. Worked with EQ'ing to have balanced levels between guitar tone and vocal presence.
Areas to Improve:
Finding more efficient ways to record excess material in a limited amount of time.
Ravs - Acoustic/Pop Female Singer/Rapper
Highlights:
Adjusted/mixed instrumental tracks to achieve desired tempo. Balanced levels of singing/rapping against rhythm of ukelele. Improved versatility in roles of an engineer, and communicated effectively with artist and artist's manager to achieve a higher quality sound.
Areas to Improve:
Study ProTools key commands to improve performance time, and memorize location of certain tools and effects.
