Book cover concept for a novel by Generation Grit Publishing that is an exciting adventure (and mystery) that takes place on the home front during WWII, for 8-12 year old boys. The cover should have a vintage feel to it, take inspiration from American propaganda postersElements that might be used in the cover design: Mac rides a bicycle (an old school black schwinn from the early 1940s), Mac has a dog (black lab) named scout, Mac and William play baseball in a sandlot, and Mac's brother is a fighter pilot in the Pacific.

Synopsis of the book.
"Mac Mason’s story takes place in 1943 on the home front during World War II. Fourteen-year-old Mac feels overshadowed when his athletic British cousin William comes to California to escape the London bombings. Yet, when the two uncover clues to a fraudulent rations ring, they must work together to save a friend from being falsely accused. It’s a great story about ego, loss, teamwork, fear, empathy and adventure. The book is for middle grade readers, ages 8-12."

After the first few concepts they decided to drop the Home Front title, and they didn't want to show Mac's face.
