This introduction sequence for The Breakfast Club seeks to give more information about the characters than the original introduction for the movie did. Each of the five members of the Breakfast Club are represented through an object that helps portray the role they each play in the movie. Judd Nelson's Bender is represented by his locker, Ally Sheedy's Allison by her purse, Anthony Michael Hall's Brian by a notebook, Molly Ringwald's Claire by a shopping bag, and Emilio Estevez's Andy by his varisty jacket. Through zooming in and out of the objects, the intro moves from character to character before ending upon the David Bowie quote in the original intro sequence. Everything, from color and font choice to background, was carefully chosen to portray the characters, set to the background of the movie's signature song, "Don't You Forget About Me". The intro sequence ends with the iconic Breakfast Club logo from the original movie.
