The concept of making of a rope, where each strand is twisted together into a larger stronger form works as a metaphor for this timeline for india and the world. Each strand in time represents major event in the struggles of humanity, both strong and weak. Each of these events twist together to form the unbreakable rope of human history.  But the irony is that in this process the common man lives a constanlty excruciating life.
