The inspiration behind this peice was a photograph I saw, though I changed a bit of the coloring and cropped it.

I cannot say exactly where the idea for this peice came from. I have always been fascinated by the visuals of reflections, and with that I incorporated the idea that everyone sees themselves differently than others. I decided to create one figure from multiple pieced together figures.

This peice is based of a portrait of the Russian dancer Rudolf Nureyev. I created much of the shadows through watered-down layers of black acrylic. In the background I incorporated the technique of drybrushing.

This painting is meant to represent how some people are controlled entirely by others. They have the ability to push them away, but instead they remain still as others influence them.

The inspiration for this painting came from a work of Kilmt's. The redhead at the bottom is copied from his painting and the rest I created from imagination.
