Referral Center logo
Another program by NYC's District 79, Referral Centers for High School Alternatives are one-stop guidance centers located in each borough. The centers were designed for those 21 years and older who don’t have a high school diploma, but want to continue their education and need additional support to re-connect with school, such as referrals for childcare, social work, drug treatment, or housing.
The logo was meant ot have a warm, calm feeling, and I used the 'sun' image to denote hope. The image served to point outwards, signifying a new journey with many paths, as well as a nod to the five boroughs, each of which ran their own programs.
