Four weddings and no funerals

This year 2014 I attended four weddings and, fortunately, no funerals. For this kind of events, I don't give money as a wedding present but a piece of my artwork inspired in the couple. The following images are a compilation of this year's pieces, along with a brief explanation of the concept behind them.
Olive Love, pencil on paper (42x30 centimeters)

José Luis and Lourdes are both from a small town in Jaén, which is a province-county-prefecture here in Spain. Jaén is famous for its olive trees, which produce probably the best olive oil in Spain. The rest is self explained I guess.
Builrings, digital illustration (40x50 centimeters)

Agu and Belén's piece was inspired by their honey moon destinations, San Francisco and New York City.
I portrayed each city's landmark building -with the Empire State's permission- and did an upside-down reversible composition, which came in quite handy considering that each building is accompained by one of them's initial.
Higher Five, acrylic on canvas (30x30 centimeters)

Love as a massive and cheerful high five is an idea that somehow fits the way I see Natalia and Juan, both as individuals and as a couple. There's something in them that reminds me to the way a kid experiences happiness. The little guy in the middle is their crazy Beagle, Coca.
Mariano & Marta's wedding invitations, digital illustration (21x15 centimeters)

For this one I was asked to design the wedding invitation, which is my all time favorite wedding present as you get to be a part of the event in a whole other level. The thing about this wedding that made it so special is the fact that Mariano and Marta already had a kid, Pablito, who was obviously attending too. So I decided to give little Pablito's the leading role and write everything as if it was him who was inviting everyone to the wedding, and also designing the wedding's website and whatnot.
