I have been fortunate to work with this group for many years now but this album, for me, is their best yet.

I was  keen to avoid anything ‘conceptual’, no puns or noir imagery, and present a box, which simply holds the music, showing the least amount of information which would ultimately say everything, whilst at the same time capture the eastern block coldness of the music I was hearing in the studio – essential minimalism.

 

For the singles we experimented with etched vinyl showing Portishead lighthouse (Machine Gun) and Black on black screen printing (The Rip) incorporating a drawing from Nick Uff’s video.

 

The limited edition box set contained different vinyl artwork, signed Nick Uff print and ‘P’ shape USB key.
