Growing up in a bordertown like Laredo, our culture is a mix of the best of both worlds, USA and Mexico. As a kid, my weekends were spent watching cartoons like Spider-Man, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, etc. On weekdays though, I would be under my grandparents care, who are of Mexican decent, and would watch El Chavo Del Ocho on the spanish channels. It was a funny show with memorable characters. 

 

Here is a sketch of El Chavo I made in tribute to his great career and as a memory of my childhood. May he rest in peace.
