Quite often with a real estate development project there’s no discernable ‘theme’ to hang the design on. In this particular case that wasn’t a problem. Bastion Development Corporation had given the project a name that conjured all kinds of cool imagery and ideas. Montreux is a yearly jazz festival, so the inspiration and size comes from old jazz album covers and posters. Metallic ink, tints, and colourful images give the brochure a bold, vibrant look. The presentation centre featured a mix of moody and bright lighting, with the entrance and stairwell reminiscent of a jazz club. The logo’s five vertical bars for features/builder information worked well, as did the sax player’s image from the brochure flyleaf.
