The Guards Themselves

The Guards Themselves is a 54-minute film shot during 2013 and completed in 2015. The film was produced as a senior project in order to take advantage of the resources provided by the Art Institute of Austin. It had a very large cast and crew made up of graduating Art Institute students and local actors and recieved approximately $4,500 in funding through Kickstarter. With a primary cast of eight characters, a superhero theme, and a large number of special effects shots, it has been a very ambitious project and an amazing experience.

I personally wrote (with the help from my friend, Ian Conn), directed, produced, starred in, and edited the film. I also did all of the visual effects, which has taken a long time but has been a great learning experience.

The film is being released on Youtube during this month of September in four parts, which can be found below (as they come out), along with the poster, trailer, and a behind the scenes video.
