Este proyecto personal narra la historia de Fuensanta Manzano Fernandez, mi abuela, una trabajadora mujer de un pueblo de Salamanca, que tuvo que trasladarse con 18 años al País Vasco en busca de un nuevo horizonte. En este libro tan especial, es la propia protagonista la que se abre para contar en primera persona su vida y sus recuerdos.
Desde el principio se tuvo claro que este era un libro que tenía que recoger los recuerdos de toda una vida, pero también los anhelos por todos los momentos que están por venir. Así este libro mira hacia el pasado, pero tiene un pie puesto en el horizonte futuro. Es una llamada a comprender que nuestro horizonte, siempre está a lo lejos de nuestra vida.
En la maquetación del manuscrito se quiso representar la esencia de la protagonista. En la portada aparece el dedal más importante de su colección, el dedal de su madre. Por lo tanto la costura es uno de los hilos conductores y soportes del proyecto, por ejemplo, para la presentación, se creó un vídeo que entrelaza la costura de manos de la protagonista y la maquetación del propio libro.
Además de la redacción, edición y maquetación del libro, se diseñó una caja de presentación en la que junto al libro se presentan una serie de objetos representativos, como un dedal, unas tijeras, una bobina de hilo, fotografías y un trozo de tela con el título del libro bordado por Fuensanta.

This personal project tells the story of Fuensanta Manzano Fernandez, my grandmother, a hardworking woman from a village in Salamanca, who had to move at the age of 18 to the Basque Country in search of a new Horizon. In this very special book, it is the protagonist of the book he opens to tell first person his life and his memories.
From the beginning it became clear that this was a book that had to collect the memories of a lifetime, but also the yearnings for all the moments that are to come. So this book looks to the past, but it has a foot set on the future horizon. It is a call to understand that our horizon is always in the distance of our lives.
In the layout of the manuscript it was intended to represent the essence of the protagonist. On the cover is the most important thimble in his collection, his mother's thimble. Therefore sewing is one of the conductive threads and supports of the project, for example, for presentation, a video was created that intertwines the sewing hands of the protagonist and the layout of the book itself.
In addition to the writing, editing and layout of the book, a presentation box was designed in which together with the book are presented a series of representative objects, such as a thimble, scissors, a coil of thread, photographs and a piece of fabric with the title of the book embroidered by Fuensanta.
