Good Times Primary School

Remember those good old days in primary school? ‘Good Times Primary School’ an exhibition piece that would bring you back to those good old schooling times. The four distinct characters, the bully, the nerd, the smart aleck and the gossip monger, are represented by various objects and illustrations placed under these desks. Open and take a peep into the minds and secrets of the typical Singaporean classroom stereotypes, recalling to the happiness we had, when we were young.

From the first look at the exhibit, it looks as though every desk and student is identical. However, inside is what that matters- the inner personality of each student. Open up a desk, an illustration on the underside, accompanied with a main object in the desk allows the audience to recall and guess who thisspecific character would be. For example, the bully is represented by a piggy bank full of country erasers, the nerd is represented by books made of bricks, the smart aleck is represented by a bouncing ball and the gossip monger is represented by strings connecting to bells. These little objects help the audience to recall to the things we did and classmates we met when we were schooling.

After reminiscing about our schooling days, the audience is encouraged to share their thoughts and memories in a little exercise book attached to each desk- recalling those good times, sharing the happiness.
