In eastern mysticism, it is generally accepted that each and everyone is connected on a level that is beyond what we can perceive with the human senses. Modern scientific studies tell us that all matter is energy and the very act of observing determines the nature of the reality we live in. If we had different senses, how would we perceive the universe, what else could we be aware of?
Just as a fish may not be aware of the water it swims in, we also may not be aware that the space between us is actually what connects us to the external world and to each other.
