Banana Fibre Craft -Accessories | HAMPI

Working with the banana fiber from past 6 months gave me lot of learning as well as challenges.  I wanted to work with banana fibre because it's a sustainable material and i was always curious to learn and understand what can be done and what not.
There is a potential in the future of banana fibre, as a lot is to be done in this field. The richness of the craft is yet to shown to the people so that they value the craft not think it as a cheap material.

I have taken inspiration from Mughal art and paintings in my previous work I wanted to engage different moods to give contemporary feeling & earthiness of the craft.
BANI THANI is one of the paintings that I adore and it reminds me of my home Rajasthan. I tried to use it in a minimalistic way. The colors are toned down to go with the subtle mood.
