One of the many speedy design projects we tackle at a fast moving technology company is creating custom imagery for our blog posts. Written and edited by the content team, I work within very short lead times to quickly concept feature images which will serve as 'thumbnails' on the blog home page.
Blog Title: Own the Throne: Four Ways Game of Thrones Builds a Fan Army;
For this blog post image, we used a popular culture reference (still from the GoT TV Series, HBO) and added some brand touches (the ripple graphic and our corner logo treatment). This helps tie the graphic back into our identity using the brand 'stamps' to focus our audience on the story we're telling through the blog post.
