The exhibition can be considered a stage of reflection on the effects of modernity on forms of cohabitation, its tendency to erosion of traditional forms of relationship and the need for community. Over recent years, the Triennial has opened its space to the representation of modern in its social dimension, in particular the effects of globalization on the daily lives of people living and working in Lombardia, the Italian territory more open to global flows. Focus of the exhibition were the frailties and fears that invest the people caught up in a modernization that breaks the references community and family that ensured the transmission of values between generations. The metropolitan area is then divided into areas which are struggling to communicate and develop visions of the shared future. Here then emerge the city fragile. The exhibition through photographs, video, illustrations, maps, emblematic statistics wants represent some of the fragility of the contemporary city by staging the relationship between communities of resentment, that of the search for a scapegoat,care community, one that tries to take charge of social fragility, active community, one that acts preferentially in ‘relevant product and the professions. The exhibition runs on three parallel tracks connected by lines of shadow that emphasize the conceptual interweaving between fragility, resentment and care, while the activity will be represented by the visitor. Are the operators to showcase discomfort and loneliness with their work and work itself identifies the visitor himself. The backbone of the exhibition will consist of 5 splinter of resentment. Around the splinders split two ways oriented, on the one hand, representing the fragility of contemporary metropolitan: those that concern the youth universe, the elderly, foreigners, women, the “crazy”, etc.. while on the other side will be represented experiences emblematic nurturing divided into: care professions, school, women care, the army of the good, social enterprise and institutional commitment. The exhibition can be considered a stage of reflection on the effects of modernity on forms ofcohabitation, its tendency to erosion of traditional forms of relationship and the need for community. Over recent years, the Triennial has opened its space to the representation of modern in its social dimension, in particular the effects of globalization on the daily lives of people living and working in Lombardia, the Italian territory more open to global flows.
