A cover and layout design for Stevenson University's Spectrum Magazine. The magazine showcases students' artworks and literary works. The concept for the cover comes from the word inspiration. The word derives from the greek root inspiro which means to breathe. The cover conveys the analogy of a swimmer and a student. Just like a swimmer swims to the surface to get that gasp of air, students work hard to get that moment of inspiration that gives birth to the main idea for their work. The cover illustration is hand rendered by me using pastels as the medium.
