The Points Of Light team took 1st Place in their charity and snagged the coveted People's Choice award!
Team from Magenic Atlanta come together to build out a new way to interact with monuments in the Washington DC area. "The Extra Mile – Points of Light Volunteer Pathway is the only national monument that honors individuals who selflessly championed causes to help others realize a better America." (pointsoflight.org/programs/recognition/extra-mile)

By way of augmented reality the Magenic team created an interactive learning app that allows visitors to the monument an opportunity to capture the "Points of Light" Medallions and learn more about the individuals that are represented on the pathway. Every visit to the monument will provide a new and exciting experience, you never know what the "Light" of these individuals will share with you next.

App features:
- Awards and recognition for visiting; share in the fun with family, friends, and classmates.
- Augmented Reality photo capturing
- Passport for collecting medallions that a user visits.
- Informational links to learn more about the honored individuals.
- Augmented Reality Story Telling, activated when "Points of Light" medallions are in view of camera.
- Extra Mile news aggregator for all those who use hash tag #POLExtraMile
