As a new design ethics magazine for renowned publishers ICOGRADA, Sphere Magazine acts as a hub for discussion and debate within the design community. Each issue is to be compiled in a different location, with contributions given from leading industry professionals in each geographical area.

"We hope to open our reader’s eyes to the wider world of design, learn from each other, make new connections and reinstate the design environment. In this launch issue we take a look at the environmental impact our work can have on a global scale, meet future contributors and discuss what we can do for the greater good."
Cover design features all elements of the earth, therefore representing global issues and the global reach.
Articles are illustrated with photographs courtesy of National Geographic—one of the many organisations Sphere is affiliated with—to highlight specifically the various global issues discussed. All images are treated as black and white with offset exposure.
Layout elements are offset and overlapping, using low hanging lines and integrating negative space.
All text is set in the lighter weights of Raleway, with one spot Pantone blue colour.
Additional pages were designed to promote the discussion element and get the new readership involved; paper use was maximised by placing the contents listing on the back cover.
