This project is a user interface and user experience design proposal for FYUZE - a music festival social app. The client wanted a colorful blending interface that they liked from a previous design I made.
Only 3 screen designs were required to be submitted in the initial stage. I chose the LOGIN screen, the MAP screen, and the USER PROFILES screen.
USER INTERFACE DESIGN
LOG-IN SCREEN
Keeping the blending colors in mind, I mixed up some stock photos to come up with this nice composite of "energy sound waves."
I chose a vivd blue to purple color gradient as the motif of the entire app. I imagined the "energy sound waves" to be animated — flowing slowly in the screen.
MAP SCREEN
The client specifically wanted a different look on the Map screen. They called it a "heatwave" effect that shows the distance between users where their icons glow in different colors.

I found some similar apps using this effect but then thought of something else — The "Constellation" effect!
THE CONSTELLATION EFFECT
The map screen has 3 layers:
TOP LAYER: THE NEAREST - will show the icons with the USERS' Profile Photos
MID LAYER: THE FARTHER - will show the icon without the profile photos, just the distance
BOTTOM LAYER: THE FARTHERST - will show just glowing orbs
*The icons have color borders and glowing continuosly
*You can slide the slider according to which users you want to see - nearer or farther. The 3 layers will then adjust by zooming in or zooming out and taking each layer's property (profile photo, icon with distance, and glowing orb)
*Users can move the Map screen in any direction to see other users offscreen

USERS SCREEN
One feature of this app is that users can choose a color for their profile. To show that a user is nearby, there's a circle beside the user's username that shows the color that user has chosen.
The plus (+) sign indicates that you have not connected with that user yet and you can tap the plus button to add that user.
SETTINGS SCREEN
As a bonus, I added the Settings screen design. Here's a preview the setting of a Group of users you have created: "Lana Del Rey Tribe"
